Introduction
For the sake of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. All commendation is because of Allah, Lord of all creation. Allah is the All-sympathetic, the All-lenient. He is the Master of the Day of Judgment. I look for shelter in Allah from Satan, the loathsome one. For the sake of Allah, generally thoughtful, generally lenient. All applause is because of Allah who has directed us to this book (the Qur'ān).
We praise Him and seek His help. We seek refuge in Him from our own evil and from our wicked deeds. Whomever God guides will never be led astray; and whomever He leads astray - no one can guide him. I bear witness that there is no god but God alone; He has no partner with Him. I also testify that Muḥammad is His slave and Messenger.
May peace and blessings be upon him through whom God makes believing men and women believers. I am confirming what came before me (the Qur'ān) that there would be some people who would guide others with it and that there would be some people to lead others astray with it (the Qur'ān).
Then, I ask Him for forgiveness and to guide me to the right path.
When we make mistakes or do the wrong thing, the most important thing we can do is to admit our mistake and ask Allah (swt) for forgiveness.
The Prophet (saws) said, "Say: O Allah! I ask you for forgiveness and turn to you in repentance, and I am the first of the believers." [Bukhari]
When we make mistakes, it is very easy to think of ourselves as bad people who will never be forgiven. At these times we need to remember that Allah (swt) is All Merciful and Forgiving and will always guide us if we are sincere in asking for His forgiveness.
The Prophet (saws) said, "Allah the Most High and Glorious says: 'O My slaves! They made friends with me that I may be their friend; so whoever has befriended Me will not fear or grieve. And O My slaves! They have wronged themselves that I may forgive them; so whoever has wronged himself, let him come and place his head beneath my feet that I may forgive him.' By Him in whose hand my soul is!
I also know that He is the Most Kind, Most Merciful, and that he answers every sincere Muslim who is in need of help.
This knowledge gives me great joy and peace. It is the one thing I can hold on to in life when I am torn between what my eyes see and what my heart and mind tell me is true.
Truly, Allah will never deceive anyone. And He will never allow you to lose hope in Him if you believe in him with all your heart.
I am thankful that I have a God who proves his existence to me through the Qur'an and the Sunnah. I am thankful that I have a God who understands how much I need him, how frail I am, and how easy it is for me to lose sight of him amidst all the chaos of this world.
I know that if it weren't for Allah's infinite mercy, we would not be Muslim at all. We would not be guided. We would not be living our lives for Him alone. But because Allah is merciful, we are believers, worshipers, servants of His Most Beautiful Names and Majestic Attributes.*
Also, I will pray for Allah to guide me back on the right path whenever I go astray.
I used to feel that I was the one in particular who had this issue. In fact, I even thought I was the only Muslim in my school. But now, thanks to the power of the internet, I know better.
Tons of young Muslims are out there struggling with questions about how they should be practicing their faith. They question what they should be doing and why they should be doing it. They want to know more about Islam, but no one is there to answer their questions and guide them towards the right path.
There really never has been a better time for someone who is confused about his or her faith to seek guidance than now. The internet has put an unprecedented amount of information at everyone's fingertips and also made it easier than ever for Muslims to connect with each other and find answers to their questions.
Trust that He has a plan for you and that He is watching over you.
While it may seem like things are going on in your life without any rhyme or reason, know that even the seemingly random events are actually all interconnected and part of His plan for you. Everything happens for a reason, even if it's not always clear what that reason is at first.
Don't take anything for granted, even the things you love most in this life. While God has given everyone the gift of free will, there are many things that can change your plans in an instant, such as illness, loss of a loved one, and financial difficulties. Having faith means knowing that His plan will always be better than yours.
Keep yourself connected to Allah by reading the Quran daily, praying on time and trying to think about Him throughout your day. This will help keep your mind focused on Him and his wishes for you rather than on earthly troubles or worldly desires. When you give yourself over to Him completely, all of your goals and dreams will fall into place around you.
Conclusion
I am confessing to Allah about my darkest sin, which is that I am in love with you. I have not told anyone of this before because it would be shameful for me to do so. I believe though, that my love for you is stronger than my shame and thus, that my love for you will keep me from committing more sins in the future.
But my greatest worry is that one day you may say no to me and at that moment, I might lose control of myself and commit some forbidden deed. Forgive me oh Merciful One, forgive me oh Benefactor of Mankind, please help me--I need You.
