Why You Should Spend Your Time With People Who Make You Laugh

Introduction

I love to laugh. Some people don’t like to say this in fear of sounding “less than”, but I however am wanting to be honest with you. Having a sense of humor can go a long way with people and can create positive imagery about yourself which is essential in any social situation. The following blog post is going to focus on how important it is to spend time with people who make you laugh.

Life is short. It's true. But, like most things in life, if you mess with it the wrong way, it can feel way longer than it should! Instead of spending your time with those who drag you down and make you feel less than, spend more time with those who make you feel loved and laugh.

Be present with loved ones. Not on your phone or laptop.

If you want to be present with your loved ones and not on your phone or laptop, try these steps:

Plan for it – if you know you will be around friends or family, tell them you will not be using your phone or laptop.

Put everything away – put all electronics in a room where they are inaccessible. This will help prevent temptation.

Have an excuse – I have found that having an excuse ready when someone asks me why I'm not on my phone is helpful. Explain that you are making a conscious decision to enjoy the time you have with people who make you happy, instead of staring at a screen.

Create boundaries – if people are still upset with you for putting down the device, they will likely continue to push the issue. If this is the case, explain that you have created boundaries and feel more comfortable if people respect them.

Stop judging people and situations so much.

It's time to get off your high horse and start having some more fun. Quit taking yourself so seriously. Quit worrying so much about others opinions of you. Quit pointing fingers at everybody else and quit judging them so much. Life is short, so enjoy it with individuals who make you snicker!

You ever notice that when you judge someone, it makes you feel better about yourself? But when they judge you, it hurts? It's because we're all just kids playing a game called life and how we judge others is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves.

So if you're not happy with yourself, don't go judging others. You'll only be fooling yourself into thinking that there's something wrong with them when the real problem is with your own self-image.

Don't waste another minute hating the world or putting up walls to keep from getting hurt by people. Stop judging others so much and start figuring out how to love yourself more unconditionally. It's the only way you can truly appreciate the people in your life and not let them down when they need you most.

Spend time with people who make you feel comfortable and happy.

Laugh as much as you can and spend time with people who make you feel comfortable, loved and happy.

Don't compromise your happiness for anything or anyone. You only have this one life to live, so be happy and treat others the way you want to be treated.

Life is too short to even think about squandering energy on gloomy individuals! Try not to encircle yourself with them. This will only bring you down! Encircle yourself with positive, vivacious, and blissful individuals!

I've learned that there are two kinds of people in this world: positive people and negative people. All I know is that I want to spend all my time with positive people from now on!**

Laughter is the best medicine

Laughter is the best medicine and it is essential to a healthy life. Without laughing, our lives would be incomplete. We all need a little humor in our lives to provide relief from the stresses of everyday life. Laughter helps us keep things in perspective and makes us more resilient when we face adversity. Humor also makes us feel good which increases our physical health and emotional well-being.

Laughter is good for you! Here are 7 reasons why:

1) One study found that laughing 10 minutes a day can burn up to 40 calories and create endorphins, natural painkillers that leave you feeling happy and relaxed

2) Laughter relieves stress by increasing the amount of oxygen in the blood and sends blood flow to parts of the body that may be under strain

3) Laughing lowers your level of stress hormones such as cortisol, epinephrine (adrenaline), norepinephrine and dopamine

4) Laughter can help you beat pain by releasing endorphins into your brain

5) A good belly laugh increases muscle relaxation for better breathing, which improves your sleep quality

6) Laughing can help you look younger by reducing wrinkles around your eyes

7) Humor can increase creativity, problem solving skills and cognitive function.

Conclusion

Going along with the idea of surrounding yourself with positive people, making a point to spend your time with those who make you laugh can be good for you. It gives you a boost of happiness that makes seeing the funny side of things easier. And if you can be happy and find the humour in something, no matter how bad it might seem, then outsiders will think that you’re confident and things aren’t as bad as they may believe.
