Introduction
We all know that Allah is the best of helpers and that He will protect us always, but it’s easy to forget this when we face a difficulty or problem. It is at times like these that we need to remember how Allah helps us not in a physical way but rather in a spiritual and psychological one.
The protection Allah has for you
One of the most important things to know about Allah is that He loves you and protects you. He has a special relationship with you because He created you.
So it's crucial to know that Allah is always there for you, whatever situation you find yourself in, however many issues and problems you're facing. As Muslims, we have to remember this all the time, because life can be difficult. We can lose our jobs or become ill. We may fail an exam or break up with someone we love or have some other kind of difficulty in our lives.
But Allah is always there for us, loving us and protecting us. He has the best of plans for us and wants us to be happy. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told stories about how Allah protected him when he was a shepherd boy and later suffering from a serious illness as an adult. Even when he was being stoned by his closest companions after receiving revelation from Allah, he knew that Allah was protecting him from all evil.*
The helpers Allah has for you
There are many helpers Allah has for you, especially when you need help the most. The Qur'an tells us: Also we have positively uncovered to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth so you might decide as to individuals by that which Allah has showed you. Moreover don't be an advertiser for the shrewd". [Al-Qur'an 4:105]
The meaning of this verse is that Allah has given Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) the divinely revealed book as well as his sunnah (teachings, example and way of life) as guidance for all mankind. This guidance is for everyone, believer and non-believer alike. We can rely on this guidance because it is based on evidence and proof.
There is nothing hidden in the Qur'an or the sunnah that can deceive us. So if we follow Allah's guidance, He will help us to understand it correctly and to act upon it in a way that will benefit us both in this world and in the hereafter.
Surrounding yourself with encouragement
If you surround yourself with encouragement it will help you remain strong in your deen. Encouragement doesn't have to mean just the people around you. You can be encouraged by reading and listening to things that will make you a better Muslim. You can even be inspired by the lives of the Prophet Muhammad, or Sahabah or even non-Muslim role models. It's important to surround yourself with people who lift you up and encourage you to do good deeds.
A Muslim should also try their best to avoid negative things like backbiting, gossip and slander. Not only are these things sinful in Islam but they'll affect your mental health too if you let them. If you're constantly surrounded by negative people then it's likely that it will take a toll on your mental health and your Imaan (faith).
Surrounding yourself with negativity isn't healthy for anyone but it's especially harmful for young Muslims who are still learning about their religion and trying to figure out what being a Muslim is all about.
Choosing positive friends is one of the best decisions you can make in life because it will affect every aspect of your life including your relationship with Allah swt.
Conclusion
It is a nice reminder to know that Allah is our Protector in times of need. He knows what is best for his creation, and will surely provide when we are in need of His help. It is reassuring to know, that no matter the situation with which we have been placed, Allah has always put this in place for a means of good in the long run.
